I want to find my great great grandfather

Postitus Postitas MegaUniverse »

Hello! I am looking for my ancestor Martin (Мартын) Seer (Сээр). I know that he was born in Estonia sometime 1886. He is my great-great grandfather. I know that he had daughter Anna (Анна) Seer (Сээр) which presumably born in 1924 in Russia. Anna Seer is my great grandmother. Martin Seer was married to Natalia. I know that Anna Seer she gave birth to my grandfather Pavel Bannikov in Anzhero-Sudzhensk in 1948. Presumably, my great-great grandfather had a patronymic Yakovlevich. I can't find information about my great-great-grandfather in the archives. I want to find information about him. I do not know exactly how to spell my great-great-grandfather's first and last name in Estonian.

Don't know if can help you. The given data are quite uncertain and difficult to see from the Estonian side. If Russified, the name could have been written originally also as 'Mart' or 'Märt'. Family name could be also 'Sehr' or even 'Säär'. You can search Seer families from this list of Lutherans:
https://www.ra.ee/dgs/addon/nimreg/resu ... _fr=&e_to=

One of the possible persons could be this Märt, son of Jaak and Mari from Kavilda:

Btw, there is a note at the end that he is in Russia ("Venemaal").
