God kväll, Bert-Ola!

In Estonia, it is not easy for non-relatives to find information or any documents dated later than 1940 about private individuals from administrative records. Most of these records are kept from general public by law, however relatives do have relatively easy access to them. For that reason you are perhaps less likely to find any documents over the internet.

There is a Russian database I could recommend for research:
www.obd-memorial.ru/html/sources.htm

There you my find members of the Red Army that fell, were captured or lost in action. The database is of course in Russian, so it is important to know the proper Russian transliteration of the Swedish name of the person that is searched for. For Gäddman I would propose Гайдман. It is also important to know the father's name in order to correctly identify the person. Many of the place names for Estonian localities at the time were still transliterations of respective German place names. For Vormsi, with the German name Worms, I would propose Вормс.

All data should be examined with caution, considering that most of the entries were written with the subject himself not being present, on account of him being lost, captured or killed in the field.

I wish you best of luck in your research.

Ha det bra!
