I am sorry this is in English.

My great grandfather came to the United Kingdom from Estonia.

Here is what I know.

His name was August. I believe his surname was Jonston, Johnson or Johanson. He changed it to Thompson in the UK.
I believe he was 31 or 32 and boarded the ship Calypso in 1905 and sailed to Hull, England.

He came alone and left his family behind. No children until he met a widow in Barry, Wales.

I have in my hand translated letters from his sister and nephew 1933 and 1938.

They were translated in 1993 by my late aunt.

His sister I believe to be Liisa Grunthal. Address: Orajoe, Kabli, Estonia.

They had a brother Mihkl. Liise had a son Samuel Teesalu-Grunthal. Samuel wrote a letter in 1938 aged 16 years old. Liise had said in her letter she had 10 children and 8 had died.

I have names on this letter. Here they are. Anne, Juri, Peetri and ArkKadi.

August and Liise parents could be John and Zcar but I am not to sure.

I can upload these letters at a later date and I should have photos to upload.

My great fathers family lived an impoverished life. The letters were hard to read. They were asking for money and family were getting sick.

My great-grandfather passed away 30th October 1961 in Barry, Wales. UK.

In their place of residence, Kabli-Jüri homestead, one guy Arseni Jantson lives. Probably he is a relative, so August's surname can also be Jantson.

I guess that her father Jaan Jaanson was this guy: Saaga EAA.1281.1.114:25?261,1224,1772,114,0 but I am not able to prove it. He joined the Häädemeeste lutheran congregation in 1872: Saaga EAA.4399.1.39:90?46,690,1665,137,0 and 1892 the orthodox congregation. Jaan married an orthodox widow Els Allikas in 1872: Saaga EAA.4399.1.44:26?208,1994,1661,160,0, but as the church registers of Häädemeeste orthodox parish from that period are not available, I cannot find any birth records of their children.

I believe AUGUST was his British name, ALEKSANDER was his Estonian name. Surname I believe to be JAANSON.

JAAN being his father.

What I'm looking for now is where they were buried. His sister ELISABETH and other members of the family. ELISABETH died in 1937.

SAMUEL the sister's son was 16 in 1938. Did he go to war? I would like to know what happened to him. Thank you again.
