Tere. Hi from Czechia. Sorry my Estonian is just very basic. I am a genealogist and I wrote a book on this topic.
As a result of that, one of my (Czech) readers asked me if I could help him locate his grandgrandfather birth record in Tartu.
He was born in 29 Sept 1899. Where do I find records from that time (for Tartu) online? Thanks for any help!

If the wanted grandgrandfather belonged to a German congregation, you should look rather in Tartu Jaani church https://www.ra.ee/dgs/explorer.php?tid= ... 7f726318f6

Birth record in Estonian can be recognized by words as 'Sünni-' or 'Sündinute'.
